'Tis the season of giving, and what better way to celebrate than by making a difference in the lives of underprivileged youth in my hometown of San Diego? This year, Loan Signing System has partnered with a charity close to my heart, Promises 2 Kids and decided to adopt a hundred foster children. Watch the Toy Drive in action below:LSS's Commitment to Giving BackAs you may already know, Loan Signing System donates a portion of every course sale each month to the Promises 2 Kids Foster Care Foundation in San Diego. It's thanks to the Loan Signing System family that we are able to touch the lives of foster children throughout the year. This year, we wanted to go the extra mile by ensuring these children experience the joy of receiving gifts during the holiday season. A Former Foster Youth's Inspiring Mission What makes this toy drive even more special is that it is led by someone who understands the foster care experience intimately. As a former foster youth myself, it's important for me to give back because I knows firsthand what it feels like to have limited or no gifts during Christmas as a child. This personal connection drives me to ensure no child in foster care goes through this. A Heartfelt Shopping Trip & The True Spirit of ChristmasWith hearts full of love and determination, my family and I went on a shopping spree at Target to purchase gifts for these foster children. Together, filling our cart with an array of presents, including toys, art supplies, and more. This shopping trip was not just about buying gift, it was about creating lasting memories and teaching my son the importance of giving back. The true meaning of Christmas is not just about material possessions, it's about ensuring every individual feels loved and cared for, even if it's just for one day of the year. Loan Signing System's dedication to this cause goes beyond simply providing gifts, it's about making foster children feel valued, appreciated, and cherished. Meeting the Promise 2 Kids CEO Upon arrival at Promises 2 Kids, we were welcomed by Tanya, the CEO of the organization. Tanya shares her gratitude for the incredible support from Loan Signing System and the community. She emphasizes that the gifts will make a significant difference in the lives of these children, especially those who may have just entered foster care and are unsure about their future. Tanya highlights a critical aspect of the toy drive – the importance of age-appropriate gifts. Often, people tend to buy gifts for younger children, leaving a gap in options for older kids, particularly girls aged ten to twelve. This year, Loan Signing System made a conscious effort to fill this gap, ensuring that every child, regardless of age or gender, receives a gift they truly love. A Meaningful Full Circle Moment This toy drive represents a full circle moment as I recognize that my journey from being a foster child to giving back to the foster care community is a testament to the impact social services can have on a person's life. My experience on both sides of the spectrum, as a recipient and a giver, is what makes this toy drive so deeply meaningful. The holiday season is not just about festivities and gifts, it's about spreading love, kindness, and joy to those who need it most. It's all thanks to the Loan Signing System family that we were able to make this possible. May this holiday season be a reminder to us all that the true spirit of Christmas lies in our ability to make someone else's day a little brighter. Click Here to Learn More Ways How LSS Gives Back |
