For General Notary Work, you can get paid between $5 and $25 per notarial act, depending on your state’s RON laws. 

Keep in mind, a notarial act does not mean the entire transaction, it means any time you are completing something only you can do as the notary. This includes but is not limited to: 
  • Administering an oath 
  • Administering an affirmation
  • Performing a jurat
  • Taking acknowledgments
  • Certifying a copy

If you perform multiple notarial acts in one transaction, your total for the transaction will go up!

For example, if your state allows you to make $25 per notarial act, like Florida, you could make $125 in one transaction with five documents to notarize!
