From Rock Bottom and Losing His Job to a Six Figure Success as a Notary

In 2020, Stephen's world was turned upside down. 

As a tour manager, he lost his job when the pandemic shut down the live events industry. 

Facing financial struggles with a new baby on the way, Stephen describes feeling “the most negative thoughts I’ve ever had in my life.” 

But through a combination of hard work, mindset shifts, and trusting the process, Stephen went from rock bottom to running a successful signing agent business on track to earning $100K in 2023!

Battling Self-Doubt and Finding Motivation in the Success of Others

After finding out his new wife was expecting a baby and then losing his job, Stephen struggled deeply with feeling hopeless being scared for his family’s future.

He found that sharing his vulnerabilities helped him realize he wasn’t alone.

Even when facing doubts and challenges, Stephen found motivation in believing he could achieve the same success as others if he matched their effort and determination.

While rate changes caused panic in 2022, Stephen kept a calm mindset and continued thriving, making more money than ever. 

He credits his “farmer’s mentality” of trusting the process and patiently nurturing growth over time. 

Stephen made it clear – interest rates don’t dictate success, one’s own effort and momentum does.

​Starting Small and Trusting the Process

Stephen started his business with just $200 and made $12,000 by month nine. 

He admits he didn’t give it full effort until June, when his momentum kicked in.

By month four, Stephen was blown away to be earning almost $1,000 per week. 

He expresses gratitude for the exponential growth, which he attributes to focusing on building relationships first.

Stephen emphasizes that skipping steps is a mistake. 

Growth takes time and persistence, like watering seeds before they blossom into a fruitful harvest. 

But for those willing to put in the work, Stephen is confident anyone can build a successful signing business.

Overcoming Imposter Syndrome and Turning Challenges into Opportunities

Stephen reveals he initially felt great fear and anxiety when marketing himself directly to escrow offices. 

But through techniques like pattern interruption and reframing negative thoughts, Stephen turned imposter syndrome into a tailwind for success. 

He embraced challenges as opportunities and signs of progress.

Looking back, Stephen wishes he had been more intentional about his mindset and taken action with greater confidence from the start. 

But his journey shows that with the right tools and perspective, anyone can overcome self-doubt and achieve their goals.
