How Much Money Can You Make Performing Field Inspections?​

The income you can earn as a notary providing field inspection services will vary depending on whether you work for a field inspection agency or independently. Field inspectors can make up to $100 per hour. For private companies, you can earn between $20 and $60 per inspection, whereas for commercial property inspections, you can make between $75 and $100.

Since they require minimal effort and take just a few minutes, exterior inspections may charge lower, between $5 and $15. Interior inspections take longer, from 30 minutes to an hour, and can pay up to $150. Other opportunities to make more money exist, such as charging travel fees depending on the distance traveled. If you have the time, you can also stack up different inspections, taking up to 20 in a day, for instance, for higher income.
